NOH

Noh is an interactive media project inspired by traditional Japanese Noh masks, exploring how we express hidden emotions through gesture and technology. Using MediaPipe and TouchDesigner, the system responds to symbolic hand poses: a thumbs-up triggers a smiling mask, a thumbs-down reveals a sad mask, and when users form horns with both hands, a demon mask appears. To “wear” the mask, users swipe their hands down over their face—inviting transformation not only in form, but in feeling.
